Messy Church Does Art!

With the ‘New Vision’ exhibition of the Methodist Modern Art Collection in full swing, Sarah Skelton and the Messy Church team put together a wonderful selection of activities that focussed on some specific pieces of artwork from this incredible art collection

The activities helped us think about what the artist might have been trying to convey through their art. By inspiration, we used various types of media to create our own visual interpretations of the art both as individuals and as a collective.

All that came had an opportunity to gain a true sense of the presence of the original artist as we saw their art with our own eyes, receiving a personal guided tour of the art exhibition from Peter Shears, school and college worker from the MMAC Management Committee.
