Each year on Halloween, hundreds of families in their scary costumes flock to Greenfield Road to find a trick or treat. Traditionally, on the same evening, Emmanuel Church opens its doors to all these families bringing an alternative message of Hope. This year, it has been discouraged during the COVID outbreak to go trick or treating and for Emmanuel Church to open its doors to so many people. Instead, the residents of Greenfield Road hosted a Pumpkin Hunt & Emmanuel Church was there to befriend all those who passed by and once again, share with them a message of Hope. At the same time, Messy Church took their activities online, with a ‘Light in the Darkness’ theme, bringing an opportunity to create Lighthouses, bake Pumpkin Scones & hear a story about ‘The Light’.
