The First Signs of a Building Superstructure

This is the stairwell at the back going up – fire escape from the upper floors and will lead into the back of the car park.

Foundation column. Metal grid sunk into chalk, massive amounts of concrete poured in… column rises.

Standing in café area/welcome space. Notice the lattice metal frame by the ladder…this will have the blocking placed either side just like on the foreground… the concrete is poured in, and hey presto 24-36 hours later the sides are removed and the wall is ready.

You can see it clearly here… this is basically the back wall of the ground floor café kitchen, metal lattice inside, and the two sides prepared…concrete poured in next.

From another angle, the café kitchen area. I guess the hatch will be in between the left hand and central column.
