Emmanuel Church is delighted to announce that we have achieved the Bronze Eco Church Award through the A Rocha UK Project. Emmanuel qualified for the award partly as a result of the modern and environmentally-friendly premises, partly through the efforts made both inside and outside the church to be more ethical and sustainable, and partly through the celebration of God’s creation in worship. Stephen Brown who led the church through the process to achieve the award said:
“I’m really pleased at the way Emmanuel has embraced becoming an Eco Church. Working towards this Bronze award has already stimulated changes which have helped our church to take practical action on caring for God’s earth. It has made us more aware of the plight of others around the world who suffer from the effects of climate change. We look forward to working towards achieving the Silver Award in 2025.”
