Adult Groups & Activities
At Emmanuel, we have a range of social and fellowship activities which are open to all. we are committed to sharing our faith through prayer and fellowship with one another, and within the local community.
Monday 10. 30 – 11.00
An informal group for reflection and intercession, followed by a friendly chat over a cup of coffee.
The Emmanuel fellowship meets (from 1st March onwards) every Monday at 2:30 pm.
A varied program including guest speakers and other activities. The programme is primarily social but includes occasional devotional aspects.
An evening get-together, fortnightly at 7:30 pm on Tuesdays.
A very varied programme, including talks and musical and social events.

24th September 2019 – Music & Literature: An Autumn Celebration – Please bring and share your favourite Autumnal poetry, prose or music. Also bring your Annual Subs! £10 for the whole year.

22nd October 2019 – Informal: As we Remember – Spencer Freeman
12th November 2019 – Music & Literature: Reviewing the Amateurs – Brenda Gower
26th November 2019 – Christian Service: Peru People – Myrtle Martin
03rd December 2019 – Christmas Lunch: The Moorings, Pevensey Bay, Cost £15 – 12:00 for 12:30. They can only seat 30 so it’s first come first served! (no evening meeting)
10th December 2019 – Informal & Chrisitan Service: Ordination & Beyond – Ann Caffyn, the evening will include some carols and festive refreshments.
Guild will then recommence in March 2020 until June.
A choir leads the singing during worship at Emmanuel, and often contributes an anthem. There is a weekly practice on a Thursday evening. Instrumentalists usually participate in the monthly All Age Worship and occasionally at other times.
Nomads House Group
We meet in members’ homes, usually once a month on a Wednesday evening.
Our meetings are usually based on a study guide which leads to discussion about what it means to be a Christian in today’s society. New members welcome.
Rodmill House Group
We meet in members’ homes, on the second Friday of the month at 2.30pm.
At our gatherings, we have invited speakers who give us different ways of thinking on Biblical topics and there is also a time for sharing and prayer. New members welcome.
